Ok, I found another neat little app from reading The Penny Hoarder’s blog. They recommended an app called “Receipt Hog”. You scan in any receipt (seriously, any receipt) and it will give you coins or a chance at a slot pull. When you reach a certain number of coins, you can cash them out at PayPal or Amazon. I have had it for a week and have gotten 30 coins. This is no means a quick way to get cash, but if your going to get receipts in your everyday life, might as well use them. It does not matter where the receipt is from or what it is for, you just take a picture of the entire thing, tell the app who all was shopping (adult male, adult female, male child, female child). Check it out!
I am a Lab Tech during the day so this set CALLED MY NAME! I am going to give it to my husband. I rarely make cards for him, I don’t know why. He likes what I do. I think it came out pretty cute. I need to work on my coloring skills more but it gets the point across. I got to use my Stampaholic on this one. If you don’t have one of those, please check out my Favorite Sites page and get one from KatScrappiness. She offers fast delivery and fantastic packaging.
I made this card for a dear friend’s daughter’s engagement. Her colors are light pink and red so I was trying to incorporate them. For some reason, it was hard for me to work with these colors. I finally got to use my The Ton stamp. I love this stamp and needed a good reason to use it. I just hope she likes it.
I made these for my mother. Her favorite colors are brown and turquoise so this was as close as I could get. I hope she likes them. I made them in a style I like so I am not too sure she will like the same thing. I am not a big fan of brown but the colors compliment so well.
I have a ton of blue zircon crystals. They are such a pretty color against the paler or pastel colors. I had one more pair of white opal stones and they looked so pretty together. I have to get the earwires for the gold setting. I’m more of a silver girl, never been a big fan of gold so I have to make myself make things in gold. These are very simple, I guess I need to work on making more elaborate designs since I want to sell these.
Finally played with my Stampaholic today from KatScrappiness today. I wasn’t too sure about it when I bought it but everyone was raving about it and now I know why!!! I was able to lay out my entire card and stamp it in one stamp. I didn’t realize how much I was missing in my crafting life. LOL. Seriously, if you are a paper or card stamper, this tool will help you out immensely. Check out my page of Favorite Sites for Katscrappiness and buy from her. It was fast shipping and packed extremely well. This card was stamped in one try. (I bet you can’t tell I am a science nerd).
This is another card I made about 4 years ago. Sorry for the resolution. It’s a complete copy of Michelle Zindorf. If you remember my earlier post on her card, this uses the same method but you just cut that card front in strips. I used a script background stamp on the cardstock base and framed the tree image with brown. I think I got 3 cards out of that one card front. This was a birthday card for my husband. It made me happy, he was so proud of it he showed it to all of his family. He’s not the type to do that so I know I had done well that time.
