I am so happy with the way this card came out. It’s unisex (unless purple is too feminine) and it can be used for so many things. I could have a thank you card, thinking of you card, I’m sorry card; the possibilities are endless I’m not 100% I will keep the twine next time though. The paper is Whipped cream from Fun Stampers Journey and the Happy Birthday stamp is from FSJ’s Perfect Pairings stamp set. The line art at the bottom is from the Ombre Builders from Papertrey ink. I really like this particular stamp out of this set, I don’t know why. I think I will be reaching for it often. I don’t think I CASE’d this but I look at so many card pictures everyday that I very well may have.
Well, I went on a stamping rampage today. I made some pretty good simple cards and some that went right into the trash. I apparently have not learned the fine art of using white stamping ink… Anyway, this one came out the best I think. It’s simple, uses only one layer, and its colorful. The paper is Whipped Cream and Black Licorice from Fun Stampers Journey and the “happy birthday” stamp is from the Watercolor words stamps from Stampin Up!. The flower is just a line art flower that I picked up at either Micheal’s or Hobby Lobby. I need to find a line art stamp so that I can find a way to make this more masculine. Anyone have any suggestions? Forgot to mention that I CASE’d this from multiple Pinterest posts.
This was my creation for my boss’s birthday. I don’t know what her favorite color is but she wears a lot of pink so I figured I couldn’t go wrong with black, white, and pink. After stamping, I embossed a script background stamp with clear embossing powder. I promise I will get off the embossing soon!! It just gives cards that extra “oomph” sometimes. The plant stamp is from Inkadinkadoo, the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink, and the script background is something I’ve had forever.

This is probably the easiest card I have ever made, especially with my recent discovery of washi tape (I know, I was living under a rock). This card has to be the most versatile one I have ever done. Mask off the bottom of your card then use any plant stamps to fill in as much as you want. Remove the mask, lay down a strip of washi or a strip of glue tape and glitter, add a sentiment and your done. You can sponge around the edges if you want or round the corners. Add a few rhinestones for bling if you need it. Seriously, this is my “oh crap, I forgot to make someone a ….. card” card. LOL. I promise I will start getting better with my photographs. I’m still new to this blogging thing.
Stamp set is Peaceful Garden from Papertrey Ink.
I LOVE peacocks!!! That being said, this was my first purchase from SU! in 4+ years. I wanted a colorful card for a co-worker. I love the emboss resist method but this one just came out looking childish and grunged to me. I think I should have used as softer color all over rather then multiple bold colors for this method. Your opinion?
This was the very first card I ever made!! Everytime I look at it, I get the renewed sense of my love of paper crafting. This poor card has to be at least 6 years old. Well, I should have started with welcome to my blog!! I intend to focus on the CAS (clean and simple) style of stamping. Its been about 3-4 years since I have stamped anything so this blog is also for beginners. I hope you like what you see.
